How much does residential care at Loving Hands cost?
Costs depend on the level of care required — basic residential care, specialist nursing, or dementia care all carry different staffing needs. We provide a personalised quote after an initial assessment, so families only pay for the level of support their loved one actually needs.
What is the admission process like?
It starts with a visit and a conversation about your loved one's needs, followed by a short health assessment by our nursing team. Once a care plan is agreed, we arrange a move-in date and help make the transition as smooth as possible.
Can family members visit anytime?
Yes. We keep visiting hours flexible because we believe family involvement is part of good care, not separate from it. We simply ask that visits are registered at the gate for security purposes.
What happens in a medical emergency?
Our on-site nursing team responds immediately, and for anything beyond our on-site capacity, we have direct referral arrangements with affiliated hospitals for fast transfer and treatment. Families are notified as soon as possible.
Do you offer short-term or respite stays?
Yes. Our respite care option allows residents to stay for anywhere from a few days to a few weeks — useful if a family caregiver needs to travel, rest, or handle a personal emergency, without compromising on the standard of care.
Are your staff trained in dementia care?
Yes, our caregivers and nurses receive specific training in dementia and memory care, including techniques for reducing confusion and agitation, and creating calm, structured routines for residents with memory-related conditions.
Is Loving Hands officially registered and accredited?
Yes. Loving Hands is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and accredited by the Lagos State Ministry of Health. We're happy to share documentation during your visit.
What dietary needs can you accommodate?
Our kitchen team works with residents' medical conditions and personal preferences — including low-salt, diabetic-friendly and soft-food diets — and prepares familiar Nigerian dishes alongside other options.
How do I get updates on my loved one if I live far away or abroad?
We provide regular updates by phone, WhatsApp or email, and can schedule video calls between residents and family members who live outside Lagos or abroad.
